Srinagar, Jan 31: In a significant development, Shobhit Saksena, an IPS officer, officially commenced his duties as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Kupwara today. A formal ceremony was organized at the District Police Headquarters in Kupwara to mark the occasion.
Shobhit Saksena was warmly welcomed by the outgoing SSP, Shri Yougal Manhas, and other officers of the Police District. A guard of honor was presented to mark the beginning of his tenure as the new SSP.
During a brief function at the DPO Kupwara, outgoing SSP Yougal Manhas handed over the responsibilities to Shobhit Saksena. Following this, Saksena held an introductory meeting with the officers of the Police District, where he emphasized the various challenges faced from a policing perspective in the district. He urged every officer to prioritize maintaining a positive relationship with the general public, ensuring accessibility and accountability to address their concerns effectively.
