PDD fails to repair damaged transformer of Bandipora village

Bandipora, Jan 09 : The Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to repair the damaged transformer of Bandipora village, forcing the villagers to reel under darkness.

The residents of Ganie Mohalla Gundpora village said that the transformer in their area developed technical snag ten days before, but the authorities have failed to repair since then forcing them to reel under darkness.

The residents said that department is deliberately forcing them to reel under darkness even after approached to the higher ups of PDD department but unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard only adds to our sufferings in the absence of electricity despite in this chilling winter.

However, residents again appealed the PDD higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at the earliest so that the people here could feel a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile PDD officials assured this reporter that the damaged transformer of said area will be repaired at earliest.
