Poonch, May 17 : A youth received injuries in a lightning incident in Balakote forests of Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday late evening.
Reports reaching said that one Majid Khan (16) son of Shabir Khan hailing from Bassoni, Balakote was grazing his cattle in the nearby meadow when the lightning struck in the area. In the incident, the youth received injuries and was immediately taken to nearby army’s health facility.
After receiving first aid from a local Army Unit hospital, the youth was removed to SDH Mendhar for specialised treatment, they said.
Meanwhile, SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar while talking to news agency confirmed the incident. (GNS)
