Srinagar, Jul 04 : Awami National Conference (ANC) Senior Vice President Muzaffar Ahmad Shah Thursday condemned the restrictions on highway stretch from Qazigund to Nashri for five hours in a day till the Amarnath Yatra is concluded.

Shah in a statement issued said that though the people of Kashmir whole-heartedly welcome Amarnath yatries every year, but the government is crippling Kashmiris by blocking their ways.

“It is unfortunate that those who welcome, support and help these yatries in the Valley are being crippled by one way or another,” he added.

He asked all the mainstream political leaders to join hands and hold a protest at Jantar Mantar to press the government for revocation of such an order immediately.
