Thathri-Jangalwar link road in shambles, locals suffer

Doda, July 08 : The Thathri-Jangalwar link road in the Doda district is in deplorable condition since one decade giving tough time to the residents.

Talking with Kashmir Indepth the residents said that this road is in dilapidated condition for the past many years due to the lackadaisical attitude of the concerned officials resulting in the rising number of accidents in chenab valley.

The residents said that concerned authorities have failed to macadamize and widen the road as the road continued to remain in dilapidated condition since decade which indicates the neglect attitude of authorities towards this area.

Group of people talking with Kashmir Indepth Correspondent said that the road gives tough time to commuters and the authorities are in deep slumber, and hardly bother about the sufferings of the people.

They futher said that the Thathri-Jangalwar link road was constructed 20 years ago and many tenders passed to many contractors but no steps have been taken till today.

Meanwhile the residents have appealed to the Governor’s administration to look into the matter and get the issue resolved at earliest.
