Two Army porters killed, three injured in Pak shelling in Poonch sector

Srinagar, Jan 10 : Two persons working as Army porters were killed while three others sustained injured injuries after Pakistan restored to mortar shelling in Poonch sector on Friday.

According to the wire service— officials said that Pakistan resorted to mortar shelling at around 11:30 AM today in Kasaliya area of Poonch sector near Khari Karmara  along Line of Control.

The incident resulted into the death of two Army porters, who have been identified as Muhammad Aslam and Altaf Hussain, officials said.

They added that three other Army porters identified as Muhammad Saleem, Showkat Hussain and Muhammad Nawaz were injured during the incident. The officials said that the incident took place when the Army porters were busy in their day-to-day work.

Meanwhile, an explosion in Jangar area of Nowshehra sector in Rajouri district has caused injuries to an Army man. The injured Army man whose name couldn’t be ascertained was hospitalized where he is receiving treatment. (KNO)
