Meet Baramulla’s unsung hero, who goes all out to fight COVID-19

Srinagar, April 2 (KINS): Unmindful of his health, every day Nisar Ahmad Najar, 45 leaves his home with a spraying machine hanging to his shoulders’ to sanitise streets and buildings. Hailing from Watergam Rafiabad of Baramulla district, he has gone all out to fight the coronavirus.

He is often seen on streets and lanes, wearing a raincoat, gloves, mask on his face with a spraying machine hanging on his shoulders.

Nissar, an LIC agent has taken a responsibility to sanitise hospitals, banks, mosques, ambulances, cars, and staff carrying buses, medical units, and petrol pumps without caring much for his health.

“I am working for the betterment of our society. When society will be safe only then our environment will be safe. Most people criticize me but I know I am doing all this for the sake of humanity. Allah says whosoever cares for humanity will be rewarded,” he told this KINS reporter.

Similarly, he single handedly manages to plant trees, collects plastic waste, and making people aware to keep surrounding neat and clean. He has named his campaign as ‘Save Environment – Save Rafiabad’.(KINS)
