Congress urges JK UT to take up the matter with MEA

Evacuate students from Kirgizstan Russian, other Foreign Countries

Srinagar May 9, (KINS) : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today urged the UT Administration to evacuate students from Kirgizstan (Russia) and other Foreign Countries.

J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat has expressed serious concern over the hardships confronting stranded students in Kirgizstan and other Foreign Countries due to the lockdown in wake of Pandemic (Covid 19)

Th stranded students have approached concerned authorities many times requesting for their evacuation, but there was reportedly no response on the part of neither UT JK nor MEA, so far, Mohd Anwar Bhat said and urged the UT JK to take up the matter with MEA inorder to ensure their evacuation, at the earliest.

I would request MEA and JK UT to facilitate return of stranded students to the respective places in JK, although hundreds of students have already returned to their homes, but those stranded in Kirgizstan Russia have been waiting for the response from the concerned authorities especially MEA, PCC Vice President said

Centre Govt has started evacuating stranded people from different Countries, so the students should be treated equally, Mohd Anwar Bhat added and asked the JK UT to take up the matter with MEA inorder to ensure evacuation of stranded students from Russia and other foreign countries.(KINS)
