Soldier injured in sniper firing along LoC in Poonch

Poonch, May10: An army soldier was injured on Sunday when he was reportedly hit by sniper fire apparently from across the border along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said.
The soldier was manning a forward post in Balakote sector when he was hit by the bullet, they said.

The injured soldier was administered first aid at a local military hospital and later referred to the Army’s Hospital Rajouri for specialized treatment. A senior army officer confirmed the incident and told that the injured has been hospitalized. (GNS)
