Bandipora police solves theft case, accused arrested, stolen items recovered

Bandipora,11 September: Bandipora police today solved a theft case and recovered stolen gold worth lakhs from the possession of the accused.

A person namely Mushtaq Ahmad Khan Son of Habibullah Khan resident of Binlipora Aloosa reported in police post Aloosa with a written complaint that on 06th Sep. one person namely Gh Ahmad Shah S/o Qadoos Shah of Beeru Kanigund has trespassed his residential house and decapmed with the jewellery worth lakhs.

Accordingly, Case FIR NO 99/2020 U/S 454,380 IPC has been registered and investigation taken up. Acting promptly upon this case police arrested the accused and he confessed the commission of the crime. Upon his conffesion the jewellery viz 03 golden rings and two ear rings were recovered from different locations in Magam area.

Two more persons were arrested on his identification.They used to work as a gang and the modes operandi of the gang was that they were cheating women by deceitful acts.

Moreover it came to fore that they were found to be involved in various acts of similar nature in different areas of valley. Investigation is going on more recoveries are expected.
