DDC reviews progress of Jal Shakti Projects in Anantnag


ANANTNAG, JANUARY 27: The District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mr. Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting to review works and schemes approved under District Capex budget 2020-21 besides progress of various languishing projects approved by finance department’s high level committee for funding through JKIDFC Ltd. under Jal Shakti (Hydraulic) Sector at DC Office Anantnag.
Garg stressed upon the concerned engineers to expedite the bill processing and upload them promptly. He also directed for fast procurement of common material for utilization of the same in various languishing projects in the district.
He stressed for utilization of all funds in the current financial year and hence directed the officers to make prompt financial & physical progress in all projects.
To address the land acquisition issues, he directed the officers to take up the issue with concerned revenue officials with preference for state land. He also asked them to cancel the tender for inaction by the contractor and allot a fresh tender in the shortest possible time.
The meeting was informed that out of 54 PHE (Jal Shakti) projects, 13 stands completed, 40 are under construction and 01 project has not been taken up yet. The officers informed the chair that due to pending technical sanction, projects under District Capex Budget in PHE & Irrigation have not been completed. The DDC directed the officers to immediately take up the matter with the concerned in this regard.
Among others the meeting was attended by the SE hydraulic, AD Planning, Exens of Bijbehara & Qazigund, AEE’s, JE’s of Jal Shakti, and other officers of the department.
