200 cement bags for BRO seized, two arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 6 ((KINS)) Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday arrested a contractor and a driver after 200 bags of cement for Border Roads Organisation (BRO) were recovered in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.
Officials said that on a tip off a team headed by Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kangan, in Gaderbal raided the house of a local contractor identified as Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shah, resident of Fraw Haknar area of Gund.
During the search police recovered over 200 bags of cement which was for BRO, they said adding a tipper was also seized.They said the driver of the vehicle identified as Altaf Ahmad Kumar was also arrested.A case has been registered and further investigation has been taken up in this regard, they added.( Source UNI )
