Doon School to conduct pre-entrance scholarship exam in Srinagar

 

Srinagar Sep 12 (KINS): The Doon School would conduct a pre-entrance scholarship examination in Srinagar on October 2, 2021. The School administration hopes to find the brightest talents in Kashmir via this screening examination.

 

This was stated by representatives of the school at a press conference here. They said that Doon School is one of India’s best boarding schools which was established in 1935. They said it has been attracting exceptional boys from all backgrounds to transform them into leaders who would serve meritocratic India.

 

“As per our outreach programme, the school is conducting a pre-entrance scholarship exam in Srinagar. The examination will be conducted on October 2, 2021. The same examination will be conducted in Guwahati, Tezpur, Chennai, and Coimbatore too respectively,” they said.

 

The registration fee for the scholarship exam is Rs 100. The representatives of the school said that upto 20 successful candidates will be selected for pan India. “The school will sponsor the visit of the child along with one guardian to travel to Dehradun and stay to appear for the written exams and interview slated to be held in the month of December,” they said. “While we have 16 percent students (nearly 100 students) who have received scholarships, we hope to find more bright deserving candidates who can be offered fully funded seats (based on parental income).”

 

The duration of the examination will be 3 hours, they added. (KINS)
