Dargah Hazratbal Shrine Receives New Carpets After 70 Years:Dr Darakhshan Andrabi

Srinagar, May 17: For the first time in 70 years, the Dargah Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar has been adorned with new carpets, a significant and long-awaited update for this revered spiritual site.
The Waqf Board undertook the initiative, laying new carpets throughout the entire shrine.
The installation of the new carpets was marked by a special ceremony, attended by Chairperson Wakaf Board officials, devotees, and members of the community, who expressed their joy and gratitude for the much-needed enhancement.
“Being part of this occasion was truly special,” one attendee remarked. “May our spiritual shrines remain our priorities, and may spirituality continue to strengthen us all,”Andrabi said.
The new carpets are expected to enhance the shrine’s atmosphere, providing comfort to the many devotees who visit the site to pay their respects and seek spiritual solace.
As the carpets were laid, prayers were offered for the well-being and spiritual strength of the community.
