Jammu, May 29:The J&K Police Public School, Miran Sahib, Jammu, hosted an investiture ceremony for the newly elected Student Council members. Prof. Rasmita Das Swain, Chairperson of J&K PWWA/PPSs, attended as the Chief Guest.
The event took place in the school’s auditorium, where Prof. Swain, accompanied by senior police officers and principals from J&K PPSs Jammu and Srinagar, presented appointment sashes to the newly elected council members. The students took an oath to perform their duties with dedication and integrity.
In her address, Prof. Swain welcomed parents, senior police officials, and school staff, including M. N. Tiwari (IGP Armed/IRP Jammu Zone), Sujit Kumar (DIG CID Kashmir), Sarah Rizvi (DIG IRP Jammu Range), Snigdha Singh (Principal, J&K PPS Srinagar), Suram Singh (CO JKAP 8th Bn), and Rajeev Sharma (Principal, J&K PPS Jammu). She congratulated the new council members and expressed her hope that they would excel in various fields through hard work. She emphasized the importance of the teachers’ role in mentoring the council members to become exemplary leaders.
Prof. Swain advised the student council to demonstrate empathy, confidence, and perseverance to enhance the academic environment of the school. She also congratulated their parents for their support and participation in the event. She assured that the Management Committee, with support from PHQ, would continue to enhance the school’s infrastructure and educational quality.
The ceremony featured cultural performances by students, which Prof. Swain praised, commending the efforts of the principal and teachers.
M. N Tiwari thanked Prof. Swain for her presence and support, advising the newly elected members to be sincere in their roles. Mrs. Anju Sharma concluded the event with a vote of thanks, inviting attendees to join for refreshments.
