Chief Secretary Reviews Arrangements for SANJY-2024 at Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar

Srinagar, June 22: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo visited Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar to review the preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY)-2024. During the visit, he chaired a meeting with senior officers of the district administration and other line departments.
The meeting was attended by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, ADGP Jammu, Heads of Departments (HoDs) of various line departments, and other senior officers. The Chief Secretary provided specific directions to the HoDs to ensure all arrangements are made in advance for the successful conduct of the Yatra.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of sanitation and cleanliness in the camp to provide a safe and comfortable experience for the devotees. He underscored the religious significance of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra and the responsibility to provide a secure and comfortable environment for pilgrims.
The Chief Secretary urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra and to extend all possible support to the devotees. He directed all concerned departments to take every measure to make the Yatra smooth, safe, and hassle-free for the pilgrims.
During his visit, the Chief Secretary assessed the logistics, food and lodging arrangements, security, langer stalls, power and water supply, health facilities, sanitation, transportation, deployment of health and sanitation staff, and emergency services.
The HoDs of various departments briefed the Chief Secretary on the arrangements they have put in place, assuring that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure devotees do not face any problems during their stay. The meeting also included extensive discussions on security and traffic management to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims.
