Srinagar, July 20: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will conduct a comprehensive review of the security situation in Jammu today with senior officials.
He is also expected to visit key spots and forward locations.
In response to recent terrorist attacks, the Indian Army is poised to bolster its troop presence in the Jammu region with fresh reinforcements.
Army has already increased deployment in the Kathua region, and additional Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel will be stationed in various locations, including Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Naushera, and other critical areas.
A senior official said, “Given the recent escalation in terrorist activities, it is imperative to enhance our security apparatus to ensure the safety and stability of the region.”
