Amarnath Yatra Set to End Today

Srinagar, Aug 19: The annual Amarnath Yatra will conclude today, bringing to a close the 52-day long pilgrimage that began on June 29.
Early this morning, the sacred ‘Chhari Mubarak’ (Lord Shiva’s revered silver mace), carried by Mahant Swami Deependra Giri, embarked on its final stretch from Panchtarni to the holy cave shrine.
The Yatra took place under tight security, deployed along the entire route.
Comprehensive security measures and strong local cooperation played a key role in ensuring the Yatra remained peaceful and without incidents.
Sadhus and devotees, chanting ‘Bum Bum Bhole’ and reciting holy hymns in honor of Lord Shiva, accompanied the Chhari Mubarak on its final journey to the cave shrine, nestled at an altitude of 3,888 meters in the Kashmir Himalayas.
