IRP 6th Battalion Celebrates 26th Raising Day with Grandeur and Pride

Srinagar, Feb 17 (KINS): The 26th Raising Day of the IRP 6th Battalion was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride at the lawns of the Battalion Headquarters. The event was graced by Shri Shahid Mehraj Rather (IPS), DIG Armed/IRP Kashmir, who served as the Chief Guest. Several distinguished officers, including the SSP PCR, SSP APCR, CO JKAP 5th Battalion, Dy.CO, and other esteemed officers of the IRP 6th Battalion, attended the ceremony.

The event commenced with an impressive inspection of the guard of honour at the unit’s quarter guard, conducted by the Chief Guest. This was followed by a solemn moment of remembrance, as floral tributes were offered to the brave martyrs of the unit by the Chief Guest and other senior officers, honoring their supreme sacrifices.

To mark the joyous occasion, a splendid Bara Khana was organized, fostering camaraderie and unity among the personnel. The celebrations were further elevated by a vibrant cultural program, meticulously designed to uplift spirits and boost the morale of the jawans, reflecting the strength and dedication of the battalion.(KINS)
