This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, underscored the urgency of advancing gender equality and reaffirming the commitment to women’s empowerment.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Resident Commissioner Dr. Rashmi Singh lauded the contributions and resilience of female employees at the Resident Commission and Directorate, many of whom participated virtually. She reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting women in all spheres of life.
The event featured distinguished guest speakers, including Dr. Manisha Priyam, Professor of Education Policy at NEPA, and Dr. Aditi Paswan, Assistant Professor at Delhi University. They highlighted the achievements of women across national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, and economic boundaries, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to promote gender equality.
Dr. Vartika Nanda, a prison reformer and faculty member at LSR, New Delhi, shared poignant anecdotes from her work with female inmates, shedding light on their struggles and resilience.
The event’s success was driven by the dedicated efforts of Anil Sharma (ARC), Sachin (Manager, PR), and Shruti Bhardwaj (Nodal Officer, Hello J&K).
Dr. Rekha Jad, Consultant, concluded the session with a heartfelt tribute to trailblazing women who have shattered barriers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Veena Sharma, Lecturer.(KINS)
