Security forces will act tough against TRF supporters: LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu, July 19 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that the police and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir are fully committed to taking strict action against individuals who echo the narrative of (The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist group).

Addressing the Provincial Arya Mahasammelan at Baba Jitto Auditorium in SKUAST Jammu, LG Sinha made it clear that there would be no tolerance for those who support or spread anti-national ideologies.

The two-day event, organised by the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu & Kashmir, is being held to mark the 200th birth anniversary of Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati and 150 years of the founding of Arya Samaj.

Paying tribute to the personnel of the Indian Army, J&K Police, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the Lieutenant Governor acknowledged their supreme sacrifices in safeguarding peace and progress in the Union Territory.

“While the majority is working for peace, there are some individuals who speak the language of TRF. Let it be clear — the police and security agencies will take firm action against them in accordance with the law,” he said.

LG Sinha also called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to work collectively in building a terror-free and drug-free Union Territory, stressing that this is a shared responsibility of every citizen.(KINS)
