Srinagar, Oct 09 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has issued an order for the transfers and postings of senior IPS and JKPS officers across various districts and wings of the Union Territory, effective immediately.
The order as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) issued under Government Order No. 484-Home of 2025 reads that Abdul Ghani Mir (IPS, AGMUT 1994) has been posted as Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF J&K, relieving Mr. Alok Kumar, IPS of the additional charge.
Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo (IPS, AGMUT 2013), SSP CICE Jammu, is transferred to Principal STC Talwara.
Shobhit Saxena (IPS, AGMUT 2015) moves from SSP Kathua to SSP Security, J&K.
Tanushree (IPS, AGMUT 2017), SP SIA HQ, is posted as SSP Pulwama, replacing Ms. P.D. Nitya, IPS.
Sahil Sarangal (IPS, AGMUT 2017) to assume charge as SSP Handwara.
Mohita Sharma (IPS, AGMUT 2017), AIG Provisions, is transferred as SSP Kathua.
Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS, AGMUT 2017), SSP Shopian, is transferred as SSP Kulgam.
JKPS Officer Postings:
Mohd. Arif Rishu (JKPS 1999) moves from Principal STC Talwara to Director CTC Lethpora.
Benam Tosh (JKPS 1999), SSP EOW Jammu, is posted as Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur.
Harmeet Singh Mehta (JKPS 2001), SSP Bandipora, is posted as Commandant 13 IR.
Javid Iqbal (JKPS 2001), Commandant 6 JKAP, is transferred as AIG CT & Intelligence.
Mohd. Fiesel Qureshi (JKPS 2002), Staff Officer to IGP Crime, is posted as SSP EOW Jammu.
Ramnish Gupta (JKPS 2004), Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, moves as SSP CICE Jammu.
Aijaz Ahmed Zargar (JKPS 2004), AIG CT & Intelligence, is posted as SSP Bandipora.
Mushtaq Ahmad (JKPS 2004), SSP Handwara, is transferred as SSP Shopian.
Several officers awaiting posting, including Ashiq Hussain Tak, Owaise Rashid, Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai, Gh. Mustafa Bhat, Shahzada Kabir Mattoo, and Ashish Gupta, have been assigned key positions as Deputy Commanding Officers and Additional SPs across IR and JKAP units.
The transfers aim to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen district-level policing, and ensure effective administration across J&K. (KINS)
