Jammu, Oct 09 (KINS): BJP National General Secretary and J&K in-charge, Tarun Chugh, today chaired an important organisational meeting at the party headquarters in Jammu, focusing on strengthening the party and planning for the upcoming Rajya Sabha and Assembly by-elections in the Union Territory.
News agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) reported that the meeting was attended by Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma, along with senior party leaders including Ashok Koul and Shamlal Sharma.
The meeting deliberated on party affairs, upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, and by-elections for two assembly seats In Jammu and Kashmir.
During the session, Chugh emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts at the grassroots level, urging party functionaries to mobilise workers, strengthen local units, and engage with the public proactively. “Detailed discussions were held on the selection of candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls and strategies to ensure a strong performance in the by-elections on two Assembly seats,” one of the leaders attending the meeting told KINS.
Leaders shared updates from their respective commands and highlighted the need for effective outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and active participation of party workers to ensure that the party remains connected with the electorate.
The meeting also reviewed overall organisational matters, including internal communication, capacity-building of local leaders, and measures to enhance youth and women participation within party activities.(KINS)
