BJP holds key organizational review meeting for Nowshera, Poonch and Rajouri

Jammu, Jan 03 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday held an important organizational review meeting for the Nowshera, Poonch and Rajouri regions, focusing on strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and expanding public outreach.

The meeting was addressed by J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA, Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma, and BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul.

Senior party leaders present on the occasion included J&K BJP General Secretary Gopal Mahajan, MP Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, District Rajouri Prabhari Munish Sharma, District Nowshera Prabhari Daljit Singh Chib, District Presidents Dev Raj Sharma and Gurdeep Singh Khalsa, former MLC Adv. Vibodh Gupta, ST Morcha President Ch. Abdul Ghani, DDC member Iqbal Malik, senior leader Adv. Murtaza Khan, along with other office-bearers and party activists.

Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma described Nowshera, Poonch and Rajouri as strategically and politically significant regions for the BJP. He reiterated the party’s commitment to inclusive development, peace and prosperity in border and hilly areas under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Emphasising the need to further strengthen booth- and mandal-level structures, he urged party workers to take the BJP’s ideology, achievements and people-centric policies to every household. He also stressed greater participation of grassroots workers and respected local personalities to enhance the party’s connect with the masses.

Sunil Sharma said the BJP stands firmly with the people of these regions and continues to raise issues related to development, security, infrastructure, education and employment. He called for intensifying public outreach programmes to ensure that the voices of common citizens are effectively reflected in governance and policymaking, while also exposing the failures and misleading narratives of opposition parties.

Ashok Koul conducted a detailed review of ongoing and recently held party programmes in the three regions. He laid emphasis on disciplined organizational functioning, timely execution of programmes and better coordination among various party fronts. He also reviewed region-specific socio-political developments and directed leaders to prepare focused action plans.(KINS)
