Srinagar, Apr 06: Shobhan Chaudhuri, the General Manager of Northern Railways, embarked on a comprehensive inspection tour of the Srinagar-Sangaldan Section within the ambitious USBRL (Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link) Project in Jammu and Kashmir. Accompanied by Chief Administrative Officer of USBRL, S.C. Gupta, and senior officers from Firozpur Division, IRCON, and KRCL, Chaudhuri’s visit aimed at assessing various facets of railway operations and ensuring passenger satisfaction.
During his meticulous inspection, Chaudhuri focused on passenger train maintenance and infrastructure development, highlighting the importance of cleanliness and timely services. Directly engaging with passengers aboard the DEMU Passenger Train 04618, he gathered insights into their expectations, stressing the need for punctuality and reliability in train services.
Apart from evaluating existing operations, Chaudhuri conducted a thorough review of ongoing projects within the section. This included assessing the development of new traffic facilities, goods sheds, and improvements in passenger amenities. Furthermore, the inspection extended to newly opened stations in the Banihal-Sangaldan Section, such as Khari, Sumber, and Sangaldan.
