SMC Commissioner Reviews National Clean Air Program Progress

Srinagar, July 09: Dr. Owais Ahmed (IAS), Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), conducted a comprehensive review meeting today to evaluate the progress of the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) projects. The meeting, held at the SMC Headquarters in Karan Nagar, brought together key officers from various line departments.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioners of SMC, the Superintending Engineer for Drainage, the Divisional Forest Officer of SMC, Executive Engineers from R&B and City Roads Division, and other senior officials of SMC and related departments.
Commissioner conducted a detailed examination of all ongoing NCAP projects for the fiscal year 2023-2024. He also instructed officials to develop an action plan for the fiscal year 2024-2025.
Emphasizing the importance of the clean air initiative, Dr. Owais issued clear directions to all concerned officials, calling for intensified efforts to accelerate the implementation of the program.
