DC Srinagar Reviews Arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram Rituals

Emphasizes Coordination Among Officers to Ensure Devotee Convenience

SRINAGAR, JULY 12: Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar, chaired a meeting today at the DC Office Complex to review the arrangements for the seamless conduct of Muharram-ul-Haram rituals.
Attendees included the SSP Traffic, SSP Security, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, RTO Kashmir, Superintendent KPDCL, Joint Commissioner SMC, Deputy Director Information (PR) Kashmir, along with officers and officials from PHE, Health, Road Transport Corporation, SMC, and other departments.
The meeting involved a comprehensive discussion on sanitation, mobile toilets, medical services, potable drinking water, transport, and other facilities. Special arrangements have been made for these observances.
The DC emphasized the importance of adequate arrangements, including mobile toilets, water tankers, medical camps, ambulance services, and transport facilities. He directed the municipal authorities to ensure the sanitation of all vital locations and instructed health authorities to arrange medical teams to assist mourners.
Officers were urged to work in coordination and establish a viable mechanism to prevent any inconvenience to the mourners during religious congregations and processions.
