Srinagar, September 12 (KINS): Engineer Rashid, the Baramulla MP, arrived at Srinagar Airport today and refused to board a bulletproof car, instead opting for a regular vehicle.
He further symbolized his connection with the people by kissing the ground upon arrival as emotional gesture and his political signature.
Addressing the media at Humhama Chowk, Engineer Rashid unequivocally condemned the August 5, 2019 decision, labeling it “anti-people” and reaffirming his commitment to challenging it. In a direct message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he asserted, “Neither I nor the people of Kashmir are weak. The decision you took on August 5, 2019, is not acceptable to the people of Kashmir.”
Engineer Rashid emphasized that his struggle is centered on securing the rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, rather than personal gain or power. He pledged to continue vocalizing opposition to the “injustices” faced by the people of the J&K.
Later today, Engineer Rashid is scheduled to address a public contact program in Baramulla, where he is expected to outline his vision and future plans. His return to Srinagar has generated significant attention, with many perceiving it as a pivotal moment in Kashmir’s political landscape.(KINS)
