Fire breaks out in Tulail market, Gurez; Several shops, two houses damaged

Bandipora, Oct 13 (KINS): A major fire broke out in the Dawar Tulail market area of Gurez in Bandipora district on Sunday evening, leaving several shops and two residential houses severely damaged.
News agency KINS reported that the fire, which erupted around 8:34 PM, quickly spread through the marketplace, affecting at least eight to ten shops and two homes, according to local authorities.
Firefighting teams from Dawar Gurez and nearby areas were immediately dispatched to the scene to battle the flames.
Despite the prompt response, efforts to contain the fire were ongoing at the time of reporting.
The cause of the blaze remains unclear, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
