ACB arrests AEE of R&B Department for demanding bribe of Rs 25,000

Srinagar, Oct 16 (KINS): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, Sopore division, for demanding a bribe of Rs 25,000.
An official told the Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that the ACB laid a trap and caught the AEE of the R&B Department’s Sopore division red-handed while demanding the bribe from a contractor of Rs 25000.
In recent years, the ACB has registered several cases and arrested numerous government officials for bribery. The public has appreciated the ACB’s efforts in tackling corruption cases. (KINS)
