Srinagar, Nov 23 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir is making waves at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa by showcasing its breathtaking locations and generous incentives for filmmakers.
Director of Information, Jatin Kishore, who represented Jammu and Kashmir, highlighted J&K’s potential as a top film destination, describing it as home to “one of the best locales in the world.”
News agency KINS reported that while speaking on the sidelines of the event at Goa, Jatin Kishore said, “We have set up a special stall at IFFI to promote Jammu and Kashmir as a prime shooting destination. Many people have shown interest, and we have received numerous inquiries about filming in the region.”
He said that this year, J&K introduced its own film festival, aiming to attract global attention to its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
“The government’s film policy offers substantial incentives to filmmakers, further enhancing its appeal as a cinematic hub”.
Jatin Kishore expressed optimism, stating, “We hope more and more filmmakers will come to J&K for their projects.”(KINS)
