Action against Private Schools selling books at high rates: Minister Sakina Itoo

Says parents should report schools with high book prices
KINS Correspondent
Srinagar, Jan 2 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo Thursday assured that strict action will be taken against private schools found selling books at exorbitant rates.
Speaking at an interaction with the media at SKICC, Itoo as per news gathering agency KINS, called on parents to come forward with the names of schools that are charging unfair prices for textbooks.
Minister Itoo encouraged parents to report instances of schools selling books at high rates, urging them to include the names and locations of the schools. “Parents should send us the names of these schools along with their locations so that we can take appropriate action,” she said.
Sakina Itoo’s statement comes amid rising concerns from parents who allege that some private schools are forcing students to buy books at inflated prices, often from designated suppliers–(KINS)
