Top officials review Republic Day preparations at Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium

Srinagar, Jan 15 (KINS): Senior civil and police officers conducted a comprehensive review on Wednesday of the preparations for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations at Maulana Azad Stadium, the main venue in Jammu and Kashmir, a government spokesperson reported.
News agency KINS reported that during the inspection, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain, along with other senior officials, assessed the progress of arrangements made by various departments.
They reviewed security measures, traffic management, seating and decoration plans, power and water supply, sanitation, medical facilities, parking arrangements, shuttle services, barricading, frisking points, and fire emergency protocols.
The spokesperson also noted that rehearsals for the Republic Day parade will begin on Thursday, featuring armed forces contingents, school children, marching bands, and cultural troupes. (KINS)
