Srinagar, Jan 28 (KINS): Salman Ali Sagar, MLA Hazratbal, paid a visit to the residence and Dawa-Khaana of esteemed herbal practitioner Hakeem Ghulam Qadir Reshi at Syed Pora Dara on Tuesday, following the Health Department’s action of collecting samples from the clinic.

During his visit, the MLA according to news agency KINS reassured Hakeem Reshi and his followers that no baseless complaints, if any, would influence decisions regarding his practice, which has long been trusted by people for its effective herbal treatments.

“The trust that people have in Hakeem Ghulam Qadir Reshi Sahab’s herbal treatments is well-recognized. At the same time, the well-being of patients remains our utmost priority,” Sagar stated.

To address concerns and ensure compliance with health standards, Sagar informed that a medical team would conduct a thorough assessment of the clinic. He added that the team would submit its report at the earliest, enabling the reopening of the Dawa-Khaana for public access without unnecessary delays.

The visit comes in the backdrop of recent action by the Health Department, which collected samples from the clinic as part of a routine investigation. This has raised concerns among the followers of Hakeem Reshi, who regard him as a trusted figure in traditional medicine.

Sagar’s assurances have been welcomed by the followers, who expressed hope for a swift resolution and resumption of services at the Dawa-Khaana. (KINS)
