MLA Banihal reviews Ramadhan preparations, post-snowfall restoration efforts
Srinagar, Feb 28 (KINS): Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan and in response to the recent heavy snowfall, MLA Banihal Sajjad Shaheen chaired a high-level review meeting with the Sub-Divisional administration to assess preparedness and restoration efforts in the Banihal-Gool constituency.
During the meeting, MLA Shaheen directed officials to expedite the restoration of essential services, including electricity, water supply, and road connectivity, which have been disrupted due to snowfall. He emphasized the need for uninterrupted access to ration supplies, healthcare, and transport facilities during Ramadan, ensuring that the community’s religious observances are not hindered.
He instructed authorities to keep emergency response teams on standby, maintain an adequate stock of essential commodities, and deploy additional personnel as needed. Special attention was given to ensuring uninterrupted power supply during Sehri and Iftar hours and prioritizing snow clearance in affected areas.
Reaffirming his commitment to public welfare, MLA Banihal assured close monitoring of the situation and urged residents to report any grievances related to essential services for prompt resolution.(KINS)
