Kashmir Province Chess Championship 2025 concludes

Srinagar June 22: The Kashmir Province Chess championship 2025 for senior, junior, sub- junior for boys and girls concluded.

It was organized by All J&K Chess Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council held at Srinagar Sports Club Wazirbagh.

About 130 Players from various districts of Kashmir division participated in it.  At concluding ceremonies trophies, mementoes and certificates were distributed winners & runners. The parents and players lauded the efforts of All J&K Chess Association for engaging youth in the sports. The final results were as under: – 1^st position secured Sahil Rashid Kumar and was unbeaten & played 06 rounds and win 06 rounds, 2^nd  Position secured  by Javid Ahmad Mir,  3^rd position secured by Shahid Farooq . In senior girls  1^st position secured by  Fatima, 2^nd  Position by Minaha Jan,      3^rd position secured by Fatima –UL Zohara. In U-19 Boys 1^st position secured Hamza Malik  , 2^nd  Position by Malik Huzaif Bin Zahid  3^rd position secured by Baba Mohammad Jee  & Girls Under -19 1^st position secured Fatima Showkat  , 2^nd  Position by  Fatima  3^rd position secured by Kasiba Nisa.  Under -17 Boys 1^st position secured Hamza Malik  , 2^nd  Position by Rizwan Khan Tareen  3^rd position secured by Syed Anwar Hannan & Under -17 Girls  1^st position secured Fatima  , 2^nd  Position by   Fatima Showkat     3^rd position secured by   Ansara. Under -15 Boys 1^st position secured Hamza Malik  , 2^nd  Position by Shazain Shuja     3^rd position secured by Mohammad Qasim Bhat & Under -15 Girls  1^st position secured Fatima  , 2^nd  Position by Masooma Zainab       3^rd position secured by   Xernain Rouf . Over the course of the championship, the players exhibited exceptional skills, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship in a friendly yet fiercely competitive environment. The tournament saw intense matches and nail-biting moments that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. It is heartening to witness the enthusiasm and talent of young chess players from all districts of valley.
