Bail violations by UAPA accused detected; Police initiate process for bail cancellation in Sopore

Sopore, Nove 10 (KINS): As part of its ongoing crackdown on the terror–separatist ecosystem, Police in Sopore have identified 11 individuals booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) who, despite being granted bail by the Hon’ble Court, were found to be violating the conditions imposed upon them.
Following close monitoring and verification of their post-bail conduct, Police have established violations of bail conditions and are in the process of moving formal applications before the competent court seeking cancellation of their bail orders.
The action forms part of Police’s sustained efforts to ensure that judicial reliefs are not misused by individuals involved in unlawful or anti-national activities. The identification of these violators reflects Police’s proactive approach to enforcing accountability among those released on bail.
Police reiterated that bail is a legal concession, not an exemption from accountability, and any misuse or breach of court-imposed conditions will result in immediate legal action, including cancellation of bail and re-arrest.(KINS)
