The camp began on a positive and spiritual note with the lighting of lamps and a multi-faith prayer ceremony at the Sarv Dharm Sthal, highlighting the message of unity, peace and communal harmony.

In a colourful opening event, cadets dressed in traditional outfits from their respective regions showcased India’s rich cultural diversity. Their energetic participation reflected patriotism and the spirit of national unity.

Brigadier Gurbir Singh, VSM, Group Commander NCC Srinagar, welcomed the participants and said such camps play an important role in promoting unity, leadership, discipline and cultural understanding among the youth. He also stressed NCC’s role in shaping responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation.

A quiz competition based on Jammu and Kashmir and the NCC was also organised at Badami Bagh Cantonment, where cadets displayed impressive knowledge and teamwork.
