From Space Tech to Green Energy: ‘Rise in J&K 2026’ Captivates Thousands

Srinagar, Jun 18: Thousands of students, researchers, and young professionals on Thursday thronged the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) here on the second day of the mega exhibition ‘Rise in Jammu & Kashmir 2026’.
The three-day event, themed “Building the Path Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047”, is being organized by Tarmeh Events under the guidance of Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana.
A major highlight of the day was the enthusiastic participation of students from various schools, colleges, and universities across Jammu and Kashmir, who interacted with representatives from leading government organizations and public sector undertakings.
The visitors showed keen interest in the interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and informative displays detailing the latest technological advancements, research initiatives, and career opportunities, officials said.
Describing the exhibition as a unique learning experience, several participating students said it provided them with practical exposure to the functioning of premier national institutions beyond classroom education.
Over two dozen elite national organizations and development agencies—including ISRO, CSIR, ICMR, NHPC, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Indian Railways, and the Department of Atomic Energy—are showcasing their innovations and public-centric schemes at the venue.
Representatives of the participating organizations lauded the curiosity of the local youth, emphasizing that such platforms are crucial for inspiring the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
According to the organizers, a core objective of the initiative is to align the youth of Jammu and Kashmir with the developmental initiatives shaping the future of the nation.
The exhibition will conclude on June 19.
