26 Vehicles Challaned, Including 14 Seized Under MV Act; 7 Persons Fined Under COTPA
Mendhar, Sep 21 (KINS): In an effort to strengthen police-public relations and enhance the sense of security among residents, Poonch Police conducted extensive foot patrolling in the border areas of Mendhar and Mankote.
The patrolling operation was carried out by police teams from Sub-Division Mendhar under the leadership of SDPO Mendhar, accompanied by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Mendhar and the In-Charge Police Posts (IC PPs) of Mankote and Ari.
Illegal mining: 4 vehicles were seized for the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
During the patrolling, pedestrians and commuters were also sensitized about the importance of following traffic rules, maintaining road discipline and ensuring public safety.
Poonch Police stated that such patrolling exercises are aimed at strengthening public confidence, maintaining law and order and ensuring the effective implementation of legal provisions. The police reiterated their commitment to serving the public around the clock.(KINS)
