Amid tension Karvan-e-Aman bus between Srinagar-PaK resumes

Srinagar, Feb 25 : Amid high tension in Kashmir valley, The Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-administered-Kashmir (PaK) resumed on Monday after remaining suspended last week.

Despite escalating tension bus left here this morning for Kaman post the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector to cross over to other side officials said.

They said that governments of India and Pakistan have allowed Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Karwan-e-Aman on Monday.
The cross-LoC bus service which started on April 7, 2005, has helped thousands of families to meet each other after India and Pakistan agreed to allow travel of state subjects from both sides on travel permits, instead of the international passport.

 

Pertainally Kashmir valley is on high alert post Pulwama attack in which 49 CRPF men were killed and dozens were injured as suicide attacker storms convoy at Lethpora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district along Srinagar-Jammu highway on Feb 14.
