SPO Injured As Guns Roar Again Along LoC In Poonch

Poonch: A special Police Officer (SPO) was injured late Friday evening after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that the SPO Syed Hussain Shah son of Mohd Sadiq was injured in the shelling at Gunthrian in Gulpur sector.

A police officer also confirmed it and said that the injured cop was taken to district hospital for treatment.

Chief Medical Officer, Poonch Dr Mumtaz Bhatti told news agency that the SPO suffered serious splinter injuries in his chest and as such has been referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the police officer said that earlier the Pakistani army targeted the Indian army’s posts in Qasba and Kerni along the LoC. (GNS)
