Srinagar, April 12: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Friday held a condolence meeting at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar to mourn the sad demise of noted pediatrician Dr Daljit Singh.

He was operated 20 days back at Artemis Hospital Gurgaon for brain tumor and was shifted to Naryana Hospital Jammu where he breathed his last today at 11 am. He was 79.

Paying rich tributes to the deceased, DAK President Dr Nisar ul Hassan prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

Saddened over the death, DAK President said it is a great loss to the medical fraternity and his death has resulted in a great void in the field of medicine.

“Born in Dardapora Kreeri area of Baramulla, Dr Daljit was a man of impeccable integrity,” he said.

“A medical luminary, Dr Daljit graduated from Indore Medical College and after completing his post graduation joined GMC Srinagar and became Professor of Pediatrics,” Dr Nisar said.
