Normal life resumes in Kashmir

Srinagar: Normal life resumed across Kashmir on Friday after a day-long strike call given by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) asking people to stay away from the second phase of the parliamentary elections in the state.

All the shops and other business establishments reopened today morning and traffic is seen plying on the roads.

Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Banihal train service was also resumed today after a day-long closure.

On Thursday, 45 .7 percentage of votes were recorded in the state’s Udhampur and Srinagar parliamentary constituencies.
