District Sheep Husbandry Officer Poonch suspended for ‘misleading admin’

Poonch, June 17 : Authorities has suspended District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO) Poonch for dereliction of duty and his official vehicle has also been attached with Deputy Commissioner’s office.

“All district officers were directed to attend the meeting in connection with “Back to the Village Programme” on 16th of June 2019. Further, all district officers were directed not to leave the station for preparation regarding Back To Village Program,” reads an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Poonch.

DSHO Dr. V.K Kalsotra did not attend meeting on June 16, 2019, and communicated that he has visited Peer Ki Gali on the same day inspect dosing of sheeps. Further on June 17, an application was received from DSHO for station leave permission from the same day regarding meeting in Directorate in Jammu and DPC meeting, the order reads.

“On inquiry from Directorate Sheep Husbandry it was revealed that through DPC is scheduled on June 19 but no meeting, engagement was scheduled for 17th and 18th June. DSHO Shared picture of during camp at Peer Ki Gali but careful inspection of these pics reveal that these pictures are dated 15th June and not 16th June,” the order reads, a copy of which lies with news agency.

“Earlier also Dr V.K Kalsotra used to put a frequent request for station leave permission on account of meeting/engagement of Directorate”.

“Prima facia it appears that the officer is misleading the district administration and directorate both and is not doing his duty honestly. Also, this district has a significant population of sheep breeders and as such sheep husbandry department is an essential stake holder in Back to the village Program and otherwise also for the department of sheep Husbandry and such careless attitude cannot go unchecked,”.

Therefore in view of the above D.R. V.K. Kalsota District sheep Husbandry officer is placed under suspension with immediate effect for dereliction of duty. His official vehicle is attached with Deputy Commissioner Office along with log Book for inspection, the order reads.

Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch is appointed as an enquiry officer to submit a detail Report, the order added. (GNS)
