Severe cold wave in Kashmir, Srinagar freezes at minus 4.0

The night temperatures in parts of Kashmir valley remained below the freezing point on Sunday. Leh in Ladakh was the coldest place in the state where minimum temperature was minus 16.0 degrees.


An official of the Met Department said that the weather is likely to remain dry till December 10.

The Srinagar city has recorded minus 4.0 degree Celsius temperature.

The tourist destinations Pahalgam has recorded minus 6.3 and Gulmarg has recorded minus 5.6 degree Celsius. Kupwara has recorded minus 5.7 degree Celsius, Kokernag minus 4.0 and Qazigund has recorded minus 3.7, respectively.

The Jammu city has recorded 8.0, Katra 8.2, Batote 4.7, Banihal 5.7 and Bhaderwah recorded 1.7 degrees Celsius.
