Air traffic resumes at Srinagar airport after week

Srinagar : Air traffic at Srinagar International Airport resumed today after remaining affected for last eight days due to foggy conditions.

An official at Srinagar airport told Kashmir Indepth over phone that till yet only one Spice-jet flight was able to land at Srinagar airport. He said we are hopeful about weather improving and all rest flights scheduled today to operate normally. He, however, said that the morning flights from the only airport in the valley were cancelled today also due to poor visibility.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement on the only highway which connects valley with the rest of the world has been suspended today on consecutive second day due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir on Friday.
