Kupwara youth dead in Rajasthan; accused arrested

SRINAGAR, Feb 7: A 19-year-old youth, who was injured after being beaten up allegedly by his co-worker in a catering company in Rajasthan, died at a hospital on Friday. 


Reports reaching said the 19-year-old youth has been identified as Basit Ahmed Khan son of Khursheed Ahmed Khan a resident of Kunanposhpora Kupwara district succumbed to his injuries on Friday after being beaten up allegedly by his co-worker in Hassanpora-Hathwada area of Rajasthan. 

Adil Ahmed Thoker a colleague of deceased youth told this reported over phone that after completion of day’s work, he was on way to his room along with his co-workers. On way, there was some spat between the two during which Khan’s co-worker allegedly beat him up to pulp resulting into serious injuries to him. Khan was later rushed to SMS hospital Rajasthan where he was admitted for two days. He succumbed to his injuries on Friday. 


Mr. Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar, SSP Kupwara, confirmed the death of youth to this reporter and  said that concerned police station in Rajasthan informed Kupwara police about the arrest of accused, and a case has been registered in this regard.
