Traffic suspended on Kashmir highway after suspicious box found

Srinagar: Traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway was suspended at Banihal on Tuesday after army’s team found a suspicious object lying unattended on roadside.

Road opening party of army found a suspicious box lying along highway near Banihal.

An official told  that the object raised apprehensions that it may be an explosive.

“Forces immediately suspended traffic on road and bomb disposal squad was called to cross examine the suspicious object,” a police official said. Further details awaited.
