KULGAM, FEBRUARY 24: District Police Kulgam today organized book and stationary distribution camp here at District Police Lines Kulgam in memory of Dy-SP Aman Kumar Thakur, who was martyred last yeay an encounter at Turigam.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kulgam Gurinderpal Singh paying rich tributes were paid to Aman Thakur, he said that the brave officer sacrificed his life in the line of duty and achieved martyrdom.
Later, the SSP along with other officers distributed books and stationary among the orphans and children of police personnel who attained martyrdom in the line of duty.
A-SP Mohammad Yousuf, Dy-SP Muzafar Jan, Dy-SP,HQ Shafat Hussain, SDPO Qazigund Iftikhar Talib, SDPO D.H.Pora Aashiq Hussain, Dy-SP Imtiyaz Ahmad, Dy-SP Mir Gulzar, Surider Mohan and other officers of Police Department were present on the occasion.
